The peculiarity of trapezoidal tables is that it allows you to place the mirror as close as possible to the face, which simplifies the makeup process.

When choosing a makeup table, it is important to pay attention to the material from which the piece of furniture was made. This affects both the aesthetic appearance of the table and its durability.
The most popular materials for making makeup tables:
- Tree. This is a classic material for furniture production. This is a durable raw material that will allow you to create a piece of furniture in absolutely any style. Carvings on wooden tables perfectly decorate furniture made in the Baroque or Provence style.
- Metal . This durable material is most often used to make table frames. If the furniture frame is not made of steel or bronze, the products will become deformed and quickly lose their presentation. Metal makeup tables (or forged parts) are often used in interiors in Art Nouveau, neo-Baroque or high-tech styles.
- Glass . This material is perfect for people who love minimalism in the interior. Modern technologies make it possible to make furniture made from such material durable and reliable.
- Plastic . Dressing tables made of this material retain their original appearance for many years. More often used in high-tech style interiors.
Dimensions
The dimensions of dressing tables may vary, but the height in most cases remains the same. The standard height of a makeup table is 75 cm. There is a chair behind the table, so the tabletop should be high enough.
The minimum width of the table is 26 cm, and the length is 46 cm. Smaller values can only be obtained if a hanging shelf is used as a table, but this option has the least functionality. Such table models are usually minimalist, with 1-2 lower shelves.
Most often you can find makeup tables with the following dimensions:
- 80x60 cm;
- 100x50 cm;
- 120x60 cm.
The length of the table can, in rare cases, reach 140 cm. But such a set is only suitable in large rooms, as it takes up a lot of space and looks cumbersome.
Decorative cosmetics
Now let's talk about the most common thing that can cover 90% of all horizontal surfaces in the house of a real fashionista. Of course, we will talk about our favorite – decorative cosmetics.
I know many examples when decorative cosmetics are stored in the bathroom. I want to warn you against this mistake! Makeup products lose their quality very quickly or can even deteriorate from moisture and high temperatures. Decorative cosmetics are best stored in dry, well-ventilated areas where the air temperature does not fall below zero and does not rise above 25 degrees Celsius. If you live in a very hot climate, it makes sense to consider storing fatty and liquid textures in the refrigerator, where the air temperature is about 4-5 degrees above zero.
It's great if you have a separate place for applying makeup, with a large, well-lit mirror, where a cosmetic table and/or chest of drawers is conveniently located. Then cosmetics can be placed in special acrylic vertical organizers directly on the table or in horizontal organizers on the shelves of the chest of drawers.
Acrylic horizontal organizers can be easily replaced with regular cutlery dividers.
Let's say that there is no separate cosmetic table and is not expected - then you will like the following option for compact and convenient placement of makeup tools on a wall or other vertical surface (on the side of a cabinet, on a door).
