Turquoise harmonizes effectively with any colors from light to bright. The combination with white creates lightness and freshness; in this case, the room may be too cold. If the window faces north, you can create beautiful shades in the interior using mustard or yellow. If the room design is made in light colors, turquoise textiles are chosen.
Gray tones predominate in the living room; for example, these can be the walls, where turquoise is presented as separate inserts or additional accessories. In addition to turquoise, the interior may include pastel colors. In the classic style there is a dusty turquoise color; it is preferable to choose aqua blue colors for art deco. Using turquoise shades you can create a chic Mediterranean style in your living room or bedroom.
with black , including light turquoise. If you add black to it, you can achieve an elegant and stylish interior. To make an accent using black color, use candlesticks, vases and other accessories.
Important! You cannot use black in large quantities, otherwise the room will become gloomy.
using brown color ; it also predominates when decorating windows and doors. Among the shades are wenge, coffee, chocolate and others. Any brown color will harmonize with light and dark turquoise tones. If the room is large, large fragments on the walls or ceiling are painted brown. Against the background of a dark floor, the color of sea green will look perfect if it is used for upholstered furniture and even kitchen furniture.
Gold and silver elements look great in combination with turquoise ; they can be completely different, resulting in a luxurious look. These are common design techniques that are often used by professional designers. If you need to complement the interior, use: figurines, floor lamps and other elements painted in precious tones.
Combinations with the color purple are truly mystical. If you take a lot of purple in a dark shade, it will be tiring, which means that lilac will be an excellent option. Designers love such combinations when working with children's rooms, as well as in those rooms where oriental style is present. Shades of lavender harmonize well with turquoise, this creates a vintage style and is ideal for modern spaces.
Blue is a related shade, so it can be used to achieve lightness, airiness and coolness. Blue is necessary if the style of the room is Mediterranean; most often such an interior is done in the bedroom or in the living room. Thus, it is not difficult to determine which color goes with turquoise in the interior.
An equally popular color is pink , which complements turquoise, and in addition, a beige accent is used in the form of spraying. You should not take a very bright pink color; the softer the shade, the better. Pink is good to use in ornaments and accessories.
Like turquoise, yellow is a bright shade and when combined it creates a clear contrast. If sunny colors are used correctly, the interior will add optimism and joy, especially when decorating a children's room. The combination of colors should be muted, where turquoise acts as a background, yellow only accentuates. Cream, milky and gray are used as relief colors.
Turquoise and green
Turquoise is a borderline shade with green, so together they look organic and beautiful. The interior turns out to be seamless and unobtrusive, as different tones of the same color scheme are used. It is important not to oversaturate the design with variegation, so it is better to include these colors in the interior along with a calm white or beige shade.

Curtains are usually chosen as a refreshing element. They do their job perfectly and, combined with the chosen color scheme, will adequately decorate the room. When decorating the interior, you can choose appropriate curtains for both the children's room and the bedroom.
To decorate the room, various furniture pieces with shades of turquoise or completely painted are suitable; a combination of harmonious tones of green or blue is possible. If there is a sofa with a blue tint, the room will become lighter.
Features of the turquoise palette

- Turquoise color fits into the design of any room. Its purpose and parameters are simply taken into account;
- this paint can be considered “windy” and fickle. Next to blue objects in turquoise, the same blue tones will be visually visible. And next to the greenery it will also seem green;
- Turquoise color is a mixture of blue and green. Depending on the proportion of these paints, you can get a faded blue tint or a rich bottle green tone. Different colors can make a room feel softly fresh or deeply cool;
- Blue-green accessories (voluminous chandeliers, silk carpets, glass vases of fancy shapes) decorate the decor in a non-trivial way;
- this color evokes feelings of relaxation and tranquility. Pastel colors reduce stress levels, so they are often used when decorating children's rooms and bedrooms;
- classic win-win combinations are created with muted beige, brown and pink shades. Blue-green is ideally combined with white and any of its halftones.

Options for combinations with other colors: learning to use the color wheel
The right combination of colors with turquoise allows you to create a complex image. Therefore, you need to know what you can combine with and what you can’t. You can determine it using the color wheel. It's quite easy to use. Let's look at some diagrams below.
With basic colors
Basic colors are those that have a wide range of compatibility and are universal to wear. The color combination below will complement turquoise perfectly. Photos are provided to prove this.
With white
What a wonderful look you can make from a white blouse and bright culottes. The clothes, of course, are not for the office, but suitable for formal meetings. To make it more casual, the blouse can be replaced with a plain white tank top.
And if you take white trousers, then a rich chunky knit sweater will create a cozy and stylish look. We suggest wearing a white shirt underneath and letting out the collar.
With black
Turquoise with black looks bright and lively. We recommend choosing charcoal as the main color, leaving small details for turquoise. This way the image will not be overloaded with saturation.
Turquoise color in clothes is self-sufficient, like black. When combining them, you need to feel the scale of overkill. It is very easy to turn elegance into bad taste. For example, a cyan-colored handbag, necklace or shoes with color accents will only be a plus.
If you choose something black to go with your dress, it could be a sword belt or a simple belt.
Also, good combinations are made from 3 colors with black and gold.
With gray
Gray and turquoise go well together even in one thing. For example, it could be a dress with vertical stripes in different colors.
For business looks, choose delicate tones of turquoise with a burnout effect. Bright ones will look out of place.
With beige
Combines turquoise and beige. For the coming fall, you can create the following look: a beige corduroy jacket with lining, jeans and a turtleneck in a deep tiffany color.
Beige can be combined with any of the shades. Dark and pastel colors look better with light beige and straw.
Aquamarine or cyan can be combined with shades close to brown.
With brown
Muted turquoise and brown will create a warm autumn-spring duet.
These colors are very easy to create a casual look for work, as cool brown adds a strict edge.
Wear a dress with large aquamarine and brown stripes with a rich brown coat and ankle boots.
Brown leather pants, a white top, short flat boots and turquoise accessories with gold accents are an attractive look for walking.
Contrasting combination (with orange, salmon)
Salmon, pink and orange also go with turquoise. The combination of these colors creates a contrasting image.
A delicate outfit will be made from light tones of aquamarine and salmon accessories.
A striking contrast is created from orange with the “thrush egg” color. It is suitable for bright, cheerful personalities who love to be the center of attention.
Monochrome (with other shades of the same color tone)
The essence of a monochrome combination is that the entire image is assembled in different shades of one sector of the color wheel. This idea seems strange to many, but in reality it looks lively and stylish. With the help of delicate tones you can maintain the delicacy of the image, using dark ones - severity.
A tiffany-colored jacquard coat, light trousers with a crease and velvet dark turquoise pumps will make up an ultra-fashionable composition.
Complementary triad (with yellow and red)
With yellow
Turquoise color also goes well with yellow. A yellow dress with a cyan-colored jacket will be a bold decision.
With red
But combine turquoise and red carefully. It is better not to choose rich shades of red, so as not to make it too pretentious. It is better to take darker tones, close to burgundy. But if you want brightness, then take a closer look at carrot and coral.
Analogy - neighboring colors on the color wheel
Next to blue-green on the color wheel are blue, violet, fuchsia and green. Such combinations also look harmonious.
With blue
Combine aqua blue with rich blue. They complement each other, somewhat reminiscent of the depths of the sea and the bright sky.
Things with a gradient of these shades look gorgeous.
With purple and eggplant
Purple or lilac are created for rich outfits. These bows are suitable for holidays or photo shoots.
With green
Monochrome bows will not be spoiled by green. Choose noble, muted tones. There is enough brightness.
With pink
Turquoise and pink create a stylish combination. Suitable shades include Crayola melon, pale purple pink and amaranth pink.
With gold
Many people know the combination of turquoise and gold. It really is very advantageous and can be easily combined with a third color.
Things with gold print look interesting. For example, scarves.
And an aquamarine dress can always be refreshed with gilded jewelry or a clutch.
Difficulties with using turquoise color
Shades of turquoise are bright colors, so you need to be careful with them and not use too much or too often. By choosing the right proportions, the room will turn out restrained. When choosing turquoise as a cool shade, it is important that the second color is appropriate, in this case you can avoid goosebumps. Only if you have been able to assess all the risks can you safely go for the use of bright accents.
To make the interior stylish, you don’t always need to remodel or install unusual furniture; very often it’s enough to choose an unusual color. The symbol of water and air is the turquoise color; its numerous shades will not deprive the room of its features. Apply this color in any home, in different rooms, mixing paints, and think through the design.
Choosing a style for a turquoise living room
In many ways, the mood of the room depends on the style chosen for its decoration.
With all the activity of the azure color in different design options, it can change its character, so it is worth paying attention to how stylistic solutions are combined with turquoise:
- The classic style, which uses correct, strict forms, elegant decor, a restrained palette and an unobtrusive hint at the position of the owners, can well be used in combination with the color of the sea wave. This option can hardly be called widespread, but it is in this case that strict classics take on a dynamic and fresh look. Moreover, a living room with a turquoise sofa looks especially elegant and luxurious.
- The traditional functional turquoise interior of the living room is a simple solution to dilute the boring modern laconicism and minimalism. The azure color will look good both in the main design of the walls, and in glossy facades, and in matte wooden furniture cabinet models.
- The most organic would be a turquoise hall in a marine style. The unobtrusive tiffany color predominates here, which is most often combined with a shade of sea foam. Shells, seascapes, and corresponding patterns are widely used as decoration. Natural stone products - lamps, vases, panels - look elegant in this design.
- A simple and cozy design of a turquoise living room in a country style is the choice of most owners of country houses. There can be either a rich palette in the style of an Alpine chalet or muted pastels of a Provence interior. In any case, this design uses natural wood, ceramics, and textiles.
- Quite rare, but still found in loft-style interiors. Most often this is an accent wall or accents, since the base is bare concrete and brick. It is the color of the sea wave that can embellish an industrial composition, making it softer and more positive.
Obviously, the choice of style, wall and floor finishes depends on personal preference. If turquoise color is chosen as the basis, it will set the tone for the entire interior, so you should choose stylistic solutions in accordance with your expectations - do you want sublime aristocratic calm to reign in the living room, or do you prefer a freer atmosphere in which it will be easy to gather big company.
