Many owners of their own houses and apartments use various techniques to create a cozy atmosphere for all family members. In modern conditions, the solution to this problem is simplified by technical capabilities and materials that make it possible to create unique interior elements. A striking representative of one of them is the “grass” carpet (artificial grass). Its texture attracts buyers with its original voluminous, soft shapes. The use of such a carpet is allowed both indoors for various purposes and on outdoor areas.

What types of grass carpets are there?
All green “grass” carpets, that is, with pile, fall into this category . A common characteristic for the models is color, and its shades can be completely different.

This is why carpets are often classified by texture:
- Hard and soft pile. In the first case, as a rule, small rugs are purchased for the hallway, where the softness of the fibers does not play a role or is even harmful. Soft carpets are suitable for those rooms where people often walk barefoot.
- Short and long fibers. The choice of this characteristic depends solely on the preferences of the buyer and his ability to care for the coating.
- Tactile sensations from the material. As a rule, grass carpets are made of polypropylene, but in some cases linen, etc. is also added.

Rhyming a non-uniform floor element with accessories, choose a color for them that will emphasize the idea of your interior. I’ll explain with examples in the photo below.
In the photo, the carpet is made in different shades of red, and the lamp and coffee table are chosen in one of them - the most intense. It looks good because it meets the general idea of the interior - contrast. The peach or rust colors used would not have worked here, as a clear, bright contrast was needed.
Another case in the photo - in a very calm interior (primary colors - blue, gray, light oak) they added a contrasting black and white carpet and, to emphasize this contrast, they put black and white pillows. For my taste, it turned out a little harsh, but obviously that’s what the owners wanted.
Another example in the photo is also an initially calm interior (gray floor, light wood, honey wood), to which they added a multi-colored carpet and chose rich, pleasant colors for the pillows from those used in the carpet - dark blue and dark yellow.
Mentally replace the pillows with red and black (these colors are also used in the carpet) - and you will understand how this rule works:
— if you have a multi-colored carpet, use for accessories those colors of the carpet that best suit the design of your interior
Using all colors
Finally, the most consistent version of this rhyme is to choose for accessories not one or two colors used in the carpet, but all colors. This is not the easiest task in terms of shopping, but the result is remarkable.
As in the photo, where the subject of our article consists of stripes of coral, beige, cream, brown and chocolate colors. The pillows and mirror frame are cream, the floor lamp shades are coral, the table is brown, the barrel bedside table on the side of the sofa is chocolate. And some beige accessories by the fireplace. The picture is great.
So, we have looked at the first way to include a carpet in the interior - to rhyme it with accessories. What is the second way?

For example, as in the photo above, the paintings and curtains perfectly rhyme with the colors of the carpet. Please note that the bright color of the chairs does not look very harmonious - a bright carpet + bright furniture are good if the colors are completely different, such as blue and yellow.
And here in the carpet there is a pistachio, next to which the bright green becomes intrusive.
So, the rule:
— if you place bright furniture on a bright carpet, the carpet and furniture should be different colors
And there is absolutely no point in putting furniture on it in the same color as itself, as in the photo. As much as white furniture looks good on a red carpet, red furniture looks so pointless.
So: - do not choose carpet and furniture in the same color - it looks unclear and not beautiful
